Let me premise this by saying that I have never tried this before. We were at Costco tonight and these looked too good not to try so I thought I would document the experience for all of you.
Here are the Ribs:

The bottom 2 are basted with olive oil then rubbed with southwestern spice and some type of BBQ beef rub. I know these are pork but the beef rub was the best we had lying around.

The top Ribs were the test ones we basted with some spices I mixed up. Oregano, parsley, cayenne, and paprika mixed in olive oil. We ended up just putting BBQ sauce on these because they came out tasting just like meat.
But here is the other stuff anyway.... its good for dipping bread..

Next grab yourself a beer and go outside.

Get your charcoal in a nice pyramid and let it all turn grey. Note the unused gas grill....

Once the charcoal is nice and lit spread it out and throw on the ribs.

Call PETA....

Now its time to get a real drink because these take a while.

Now you cook them for a long time
Then at the end flip them over for a couple minutes.

At this point we tested the ones with my homemade concoction and they didnt taste too good so we barbequed that rack... This is the end result:

Now its time to imitate the rib guy.

ENJOY!
