Ramen Cookies! [56k no] by Graviolies Visit Thread
While being bored at my shitty job today, I was trying to think of all the ways dry ramen can be used if you have an imagination. For this, I just took a no-bake cookie idea (chocolate haystacks) and made the poor ghetto-ass version. All of the ingredients totaled $2.44 cents, even though I ran out of chocolate. So anyway, on with the show!

First, you will need the following ingredients.

Chocolate (I suggest at LEAST twice as much shown), Peanut butter (smooth or chunky), and two packs of dried Ramen (any flavor). Star Wars Trilogy optional.

Now, open the Ramen and remove the flavor packets. Give them to Spidey on a barrel for protecting if you decide to use them in some other recipe.

Break up your noodles until they're roughly the size of a cold breakfast cereal.

Next, add the peanut butter until you get a consistancy you like. Less PB would result in a drier, but crunchier product.

I find using your hands to be the most fun and efficient way to mix!

Put the bowl of noodlepeanutgoo into the freezer to set up and become managable.

Perhaps while watching Baseball Tonight with Herold Reynolds.

After the stuff is set, shape them into balls (or lumps) on a sheet of wax paper and return them to their icy den until their next scene.

Prepare the chocolate for melting!

Now, roll the lumps in the melted chocolate, or drizzle if you so feel the desire.

Return them to the freezer for the last time to set the chocolate!

Serve chilled and enjoy your shit!

I think they're best chilled. The chocolate isn't very stable at room temp. I could have bought better chocolate, but I wanted to be as cheap as possible. At least I think they're tasty!

EDIT: For all the people wanting a non-nut version, I suggest making a rice crispy treat mashmallow-butter-ramen mixture. You'd probably want a higher marshmallow to dried good ratio than a Rice Crispy treat though. Spread it out in a baking dish to cool. Once cool, spread melted chocolate over the top. Add shredded coconut to the melted chocolate and let it set before eating.
