The world's BEST club sandwich. by Koshka Visit Thread
I've discovered through all my travels, restaurant visits, and quickie food stops that the club sandwiches I make at home outperform them all. Here's an easy guide to making your own.

Ingredients

You will need:
1/2 avocado (don't worry about the brown stuff, it's a leftover half from yesterday so it's been exposed to oxygen)
3 slices of bacon
Oven roasted turkey breast (I prefer to buy it from the deli, but it was closed when I last went shopping)
Small ripe tomato on the vine
2 slices of cracked wheat sourdough bread
Some good flavorful mayonnaise -- this means no Kraft or Best Foods!
Your handy dandy Miracle Blade or similar multi-purpose knife

I happen to dislike lettuce, but if you can't live without it, stick a leaf of romaine or iceberg between the bread and mayo (see below for stacking order).

Step 1: Slice the bacon in half for easier frying and sandwich assembly.

Step 2: Fry the bacon. I prefer it crisp, but slightly floppy. You can char it if you want, I just find that causes the flavor balance of the sandwich to be off.

Steps 3, 4, and 5: While your bacon is frying, cut your tomato and avocado into thin slices, and toast your bread.

Step 6 (optional): While no one is looking, eat the rest of the avocado with some salt to taste.

Step 7: After it's done, drain your bacon, fatty.

Step 8: Put a fat gob of mayo onto one or both toasted bread slice(s) and spread it around.

Step 9: Artfully arrange the avocado atop the mayo, and stick the bacon on top of that.

Final steps: To avoid a mess when putting the sandwich together, put all of the toppings on this bottom slice of bread (my order this time was mayo, avo, bacon, tomato, turkey), and then top it with the other. Slice it in half and you're good to go.

Serve with fruit or potato chips, and enjoy!
